I was wondering whether anyone has tried to contact Sandlot support regarding a purchased game since the site went down. I know that support is still supposed to be up and running. I contacted support yesterday but haven't gotten a response back yet so it may just be slower but I wanted to confirm with others on whether support is there.

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
Thanks, Jeremiah, for the new email. I'll send a message to Kat today and hopefully get the support problem resolved. It's weird that I didn't get an automated message that Kat's old email address would no longer work but I don't know if that's a problem with my email service provider or on the other end. *shrugs*
Anyway, will try again. Thank you.

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
I contacted them in early January and received a single reply, but no follow up since then. Sounds like a link problem, they've fully merged and are no loner serving former SL folk or they are simply swamped with a reduced staff.Have either of you gone the Digital Chocolate route ( joining, newsletter,etc... )? May help your cause. Just a thought

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
Still nothing and I've noticed my server connect needs care now and then, so who can say what the situation is.

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
Had same problem with link Kat sent for one game ( HTTP 403 Error ) so I replied and will wait before trying next. Teaches me to get the CD with purchase or burn one, also to purchase the extra storage for such non-essential data.

Kat mailed a quick reply and exe. link that worked, yay again! Will wait for a bit to try the WW k'doms link though since it was a cash purchase.

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
Yesterday I sent a message to support@sandlotgames.com for a redownload code. It was returned from postmaster@digitalchocolate as undeliverable. Today I am trying the direct one to Kat; will let you know if it works. Grandmahelen

So far, no reply. . .
to my note to Kat. Also sent new query directly to postmaster@digitalchocolate, but no response. Neither email came back as "undeliverable"

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
I sent a message to support@sandlotgames.com, too, and have received no answer (although I was eventually able to fix my problem myself). Has anyone gotten a response from SG or DC at all? Are we on our own now?
Sincerely considering repurchasing Westward IV from BigFish if I have anymore problems. At least they still offer support. I got the freezing after the Great Train Race bug (which I was not able to unstick), and I thought that had been fixed.

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
Kate:Was about to reply to Jeremiah's post and saw this one. There's a new e-mail for Kat at Digital Chocoalte nearer to front of this thread, but if Jere is right ( see SL servers post ) that might be moot.

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
My last email (months ago) went unanswered too although, to be fair, it wasn't about support on a game which I had purchased.Grandmahelen wrote:I posted to knickolan@digitalchocolate.com but never got an answer. Maybe you guys who were moderators have a special in???? Grandmahelen
I wish I could remember the way to avoid that bug for you. I remember having to check, before doing something or other, that the amount of coal processed in the train yard was in the middle of the range which it always cycled through. But I can't remember what the 'something or other' was that you musn't do when a train is due to arrive .khalleron wrote:I got the freezing after the Great Train Race bug (which I was not able to unstick), and I thought that had been fixed.
(and maybe that was to do with a different bug anyway?)

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
I think MJay is dead-on with May as SL's likely tent folding time; since it was the last time I got a reply from Kat ( with an exe. link ). I believe the bug Kate refers to is a true one ( whether it is within the individual game download or by occurence I can't recall ) and though it may be avoidable, can't be corrected. Have you run into it after deleting the glitched profile and all games associated with it?

If you have SL version of WWIV already unlocked and are thinking of dumping it for another site's version - do you have Sandlot Connect installed on your computer?
I'm asking because there's a chance ('chance' because I am no longer certain exactly which games needed Sandlot Connect to play the free bonus stuff when using a non-SL version of the main game and which didn't) that, if you don't have Sandlot Connect installed, then maybe the BF version wouldn't work with Crystal Creek and the other free maps.
I could be wrong about that (maybe someone else can confirm?) but I just wanted to mention the possibility.
I didn't have SL's WWIV unlocked on my new computer yet (although it and all the extra maps had been installed), and now I can't, so I had no choice to hold onto it and, today, I've installed/activated the BF version (which I bought when it was the $2.99 Daily Deal, back in February, to hedge my bets in case anything happened to the SL servers).
I do seem to have access to the free maps from that version (haven't tried them all though), but I had made a point of installing Sandlot Connect while I still could (while the site was still up).

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
MJay: You may be correct as I noted that my SL games that were not un and re-installed after February saved games to a different file than those that were before May. I had Sandlot Connect 1.2.6 from time of first purchase. Except for CC on WW IV and some of the WW 2 and 3 Sandboxes I never really played them much; so it's not a great loss.

Sorry J, I don't understand - are you saying something changed between Feb and May in the way the games hold saved profiles?

Re: Contacting Sandlot support
Yes. The system created seperate save files for the games I did not uninstall and those I uninstalled and re-installed ( before they became "Unlockabale" ).Before this the game files could all be found under Sandlot Games. I am wondering if that is why Kat sent me exe. links for re-installs in her e-mails, I've only installed and Unlocked one game using those links so maybe it's a way around the server shutdown (?)
